Stretch fabrics don’t have to be scary! Learn the easy way to sew a basic stretchy tee-shirt, with no serger required.

Project supplies:
Sewing machine with a zigzag stitch
Pattern: Jalie 2805, Cashmerette Concord, or basic tee pattern of your choice
Fabric as required by pattern
Polyester thread to match

Basic sewing tools:

• Working sewing machine including cord, foot pedal, bobbins, and machine needles (Call or text the store if you need to borrow one for class.)
• Sewing scissors
• Tape measure
• Seam ripper
• 6” Seam gauge
• Straight pins and pin cushion
• Hand sewing needles

Class materials can be purchased at Sew Inviting. Students receive a 10% discount on class materials. Staff can help you purchase acceptable fabrics.

Class space is reserved with full payment. 

Cancellation policy: Any cancellations will be refunded for store credit minus a $25 processing fee. Within 72 hours of class starting there are no refunds.

Sew Inviting requires three students to hold a class. If three students are not registered three days before the class begins, you will be contacted to arrange a refund or reschedule to another class. 

Classes are held at Sew Inviting, 647 Snelling Avenue South, Saint Paul, MN 55116. Parking is available behind and on the north side of the building.
