This four hour class will teach you how to quilt as you go. As you sew your top strips to the fabric backing and batting you are quilting the project so you do not need to quilt after you are done. Once your piecing is done you can bind the project and it is ready to decorate your home or give as a gift. 

Students need a working sewing machine including cord, extra presser feet, foot pedal, bobbins, machine manual, and machine needles (Call or text the store if you need to borrow one for class) and the following sewing tools. All tools and fabric are available for purchase at Sew Inviting. Students receive a 15% discount on class supplies.

• Sewing scissors
• Seam ripper
• Straight pins 
• Tape measure
• Erasable fabric pen or chalk marker

In addition, each student will need quilting specific materials:

• 1/2 yard fabric for backing and four to seven coordinating fat quarters (or similar amount of quilting fabric) for the front
• Coordinating or neutral thread and bobbins.
• Bring any quilting tools you already own: rotary cutter, small acrylic ruler, portable cutting mat, marking pens or chalk, pins. (Classroom samples will be available to use for those new to quilting.)
• Cotton batting to size, which you can purchase at class.

Class space is reserved with full payment. 

Classes are held at Sew Inviting, 647 Snelling Avenue South, Saint Paul, MN 55116. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot around the building.

Cancellation policy: If your plans change and you cannot attend class, please call the store to cancel one week before class starts. Within one week of class, registration will be refunded for store credit. Once a class has started there are no refunds.

Sew Inviting requires four students to hold a class. If four students are not registered five days before the class begins, you will be contacted to arrange a refund or reschedule to another class.
