We welcome new and experienced sewers to learn or improve sewing skills and apply their creative skills to making clothes, bags, pillows, or other things that inspire them.

Our fabulous kid’s teacher, Mary, will help kids choose projects for their skill level. Register with a friend for extra fun. Register for multiple sessions to keep learning.

Students need a full-size working sewing machine including cord, foot pedal, bobbins, and machine needles (Call or text the store if you need to borrow one for class) and the following sewing tools. These are available for purchase at Sew Inviting individually or as a Beginner’s Sewing Kit.

Basic sewing tools:

• Sewing scissors
• Tape measure
• Seam ripper
• 6” Seam gauge
• Straight pins and pin cushion
• Hand sewing needles
• Neutral colored thread

Cost $150. Registration fee covers instruction. We recommend purchasing a gift certificate of $35 to $50 for student supplies or provide them with a means to purchase supplies. Students need to settle their balance at the end of each day of class. If they do not have a gift card on file, please arrive by 5:55 to settle their bill.

All students need a completed Liability and Consent Form. 

Class space is reserved with full payment. This is a four week class. There are no make up classes.

Classes are held at Sew Inviting, 647 Snelling Avenue South, Saint Paul, MN 55116. Parking is available behind and on the north side of the building.

Cancellation policy: If your plans change and you cannot attend class, please call the store to cancel at least one week before class starts. Within one week of class, registration will be refunded for store credit, minus a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds within 24 hours of class starting.

Sew Inviting requires three students to hold a class. If three students are not registered five days before the class begins, you will be contacted to arrange a refund or reschedule to another class.
