Monday nights at Sew Inviting are designed for creative teens. These three-hour session are a time for teens to learn ot sew or dive into bigger projects and build their skills such as making or upcycling clothes, making bags, putting in zippers.

Experienced sewers will continue to learn sewing techniques and apply their creative skills to making clothes, bags, pillows, or other things that inspire them. Returning campers should consider bringing patterns or ideas for things they want to make or clothes to upcycle.

Mary will help campers choose projects for their skill level. Campers can register with a friend for extra fun and register for multiple sessions to keep learning.

Campers need a working full-size sewing machine including cord, foot pedal, bobbins, and machine needles. (Campers can borrow a machine if needed.) They also need the following tools which are available individually or as a Beginning Sewing Kit at Sew Inviting. Students receive a 10% discount on class supplies.

Basic sewing tools:

• Sewing scissors
• Tape measure
• Seam ripper
• 6” Seam gauge
• Straight pins and pin cushion
• Neutral colored thread

Please bring a water bottle and snack each day.

Cost $375. Registration fee covers instruction. We recommend purchasing a gift certificate for camp supplies or provide your camper with a means to purchase supplies. Campers need to settle their balance at the end of each day of camp. 

Class space is reserved with full payment and completion of 2026 Liability Waiver and Consent Form. This is a five day class and registration is for one student for all classes. There are no make up classes.

Cancellation policy: If your summer plans change, please call the store to cancel by May 31 for a refund minus a $50 fee. After May 31, refunds for store credit, minus a $50 fee, will be available ONLY if the class slot is filled by another camper.

Classes are held at Sew Inviting, 647 Snelling Avenue South, Saint Paul, MN 55116. Parking is available in front of the store and in the parking lot around the building. 

Sew Inviting requires three students to hold a class. If three students are not registered five days before the class begins, you will be contacted to arrange a refund or reschedule to another class.
