Batiks and Tunics and More
So much fun happening in the store as we introduce a new Featured Pattern, new fabrics, and fall classes. |
New Featured Pattern - Studio Tunic Sew Liberated's Studio Tunic is a fun make. Who doesn't love big pockets to hold tools for cooking, gardening, sewing, or knitting? I made my version with fabric from Fableism and Alexander Henry. Mary, who teaches preschool and has more fun with her clothes, made it out of the Chickens. As the Featured Pattern, the Studion Tunic is 20% off. |
Our first shipment of Batiks arrived! Batiks are tightly woven fabrics dyed using wax to create patterns on the fabric. Becasue the design sinks into the fabric you may find both sides look similar rather than there being a clear ‘right’ side. This fabric tends to fray less than other fabrics, which makes it nice for quilting and applique, but the vibrant patterns and colors make it an excellent choice for skirts, shirts, and pants. |
Fall Class Registration Registration for fall classes for kids and adults is well under way. Check out all the class options and treat yourself to some fun sewing and learning time. Don't forget we also offer private classes and studio rental time. Studio rental has been popular for making buttonholes. If your machine does not do buttonholes, schedule a time to use our machines to see how easy it can be. |
Thank you to everyone that stopped by during the sale. All the fabric that went to new homes made room for seasonal fabrics arriving weekly. Laura and staff Street parking is available in front of Sew Inviting or in the parking lot behind and beside the building. Use the doorbell on the back door if it is not open. |
