New Kona Crushed Cottons

This week fun crushed cotton fabrics arrived from Robert Kaufman. They have both body and drape. I envision them as pants, skirts, light jackets, or anything else you wear. The colors are great for fall and winter! I really like how the blue works with the blue and white gingham from Fableism fabrics. Grab some while it is here. 

What I am grateful for

As a new store owner, I am grateful for all the friends, family, and customers who have been supportive and encouraging. I am particularly grateful for my staff who have provided inspiration and helped every step of the way. Over the next few weeks I will introduce staff so you can know how awesome the are. 

Meg brings a wealth of sewing knowledge to the store. She started sewing with her grandmother when she was about 9 years old and she has sold fabric stores for over three decades - more than half her life. Meg's favorite projects are straightforward and have simple lines. She likes to work with knits and is currently enamoured with the monkey print in the store. Meg's favorite sewing tool is the 6 inch seam gauge becasuse it is so basic and useful.

For fun and inspiration

On Tuesday 12/3 customers and staff will be sewing pillowcases for the Groveland Food Shelf in Minneapolis. There are a few slots left, so please register soon.

Street parking is available in front of Sew Inviting and in the parking lot behind and on the north side of the building. Use the doorbell on the back door if it is not open.
