I finished a project! - My daughter requested a long skirt to wear over leggings on campus, thus this simple, long, knit skirt. The stretch wool, with a hint of sparkle, should be welcome since classes start tomorrow in subzero temps. Learn something new - Do you want to learn to sew knits or the basics of quilting? Would you rather learn to sew garments or advance your skills? Sew Inviting has classes for you. Knit Leggings. Sew a comfy pair of knit leggings in one evening. TOMORROW 1/21 Quilting for Beginners. Learn quilting basics and complete a small placemat project. 2/1 and 2/15 Sewing Weekend Workshop. Have dedicated sewing time to work on your chosen project(s) during this all day sewing class. Space available 1/24, 2/8, and 2/12 Sew to Wear: Beginning Garment Sewing. If you are new to sewing and making garments, this is where to start. New classes start in February. And don't forget, our next book club meets on February 3 at 6:30. We are reading The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, The Dresser, and The Wardrobe by Angela Kelly.
New Fabrics - These Cloud 9 organic cottons are from the Coastal Calm collection. They remind me of dipping my toes in warm water. They are soft, organic, and waiting to be sewn into a project. How will you use them?
