The All Minnesota Shop Hop starts Tomorrow!

The All Minnesota Shop Hop - a Quilting Adventure

Sew Inviting is joining 60 other fabric stores across Minnesota for the Shop Hop during April and May. This year the featured fabrics are batiks depicting winter sports. By tomorrow we will have our fun table runner sample finished and kits ready for sale.

The Shop Hop magazine has the map of all the participating stores, patterns for the featured fabric, and opportunities to collect swag and passport stickers at each store. Visiting all the stores in any section of the state, or across the state, allows you to enter raffles for sewing related prizes. Stop in to purchase your magazine. 

Project completed!

My sister's birthday is today so I made her a travel case using the byAnnie Clam Up Zippered Pouch pattern with directions that were easy to follow. I used an Art Gallery Fabric for the outer fabric and a Cloud 9 fabric for the lining. This was the first time I had quilted fabric for a project. While I like it turned out, it reminded me that sewing straight lines is not my forte. 

Classes coming up

Do you want to learn to embroider? Elizabeth is teaching a Sip and Stitch class at Wandering Leaf Brewery on 4/14. Register with a friend, enjoy a beverage, and have fun. All supplies included in the class fee.
