MATERIAL GIRLS AND GARMENT SEWING GROUP

Tomorrow, July 9 at 10:30 am, the Material Girls will host Garment Sewing Group at Sew Inviting. Garment Sewing Group is a monthly meeting featuring garments, pattern modifications and reviews, and the latest news in the sewing world. It is a chance to see what others are making and show off what you are making. 

FEATURED CLASSES - Demystifying your serger

Are you confused by your serger? Are you confused by what to do once you know how to thread your serger? In August, Kristin and Debbie of the Material Girls are offering two serger classes. 

• Serging Basics covers threading and sewing with your serger. 
• Serging Studio digs deeper into different ways to use your serger.

July 4th was dedicated to finishing the Poolside Tote. I immediately put it to use with a trip to Denver. This bag is big enough to fit a sewing machine or all your beach supplies, and it fits under the seat of a plane. The Art Deco fabric makes me smile.

Street parking is available in front of Sew Inviting at 647 Snelling Avenue South and in the parking lot around the building. Use the doorbell on the back door if it is not open.
