Hello,

It’s been a tough January in Minnesota. I am proud of how many Minnesotans are helping neighbors who need love, support, and safety right now. Thank you. 

We are blessed to have a thriving small and immigrant owned business community in Minnesota. My heart goes out to every small business that is closed because they do not feel it is safe to be open, have staff who do not feel safe coming to work, or in solidarity. Your support of these locally owned businesses makes a huge difference. Thank you.

I am exploring ways to express solidarity and simultaneously minimize service disruptions to Sew Inviting customers. I hope you will find Sew Inviting to be a creative community where our customers are welcomed and embraced. 

If you want to protest through fabric, register for our free Resistance Quilting Workshop tomorrow, SATURDAY, at 10:30. Bring your idea or sketch for a quilt block and Ellen will help you make it a reality. ~Laura

Sewing can help soothe the soul and make a difference. Our next Sew Good Goods Day will be Thursday, February 19. We will sew baby blankets for a local church with a strong community outreach focus. The church will distribute our blankets to families and neighbors who are impacted by recent events in Minnesota.  Register for one of three timeslots. Sew for good, sew with others, and sew to share love and support.
